After Effects Lexus Tutorial by Barbecue

Barbecue Design created an amazing commercial for Lexus Toyota Hybrid Drive using After Effects and Trapcode plug-ins. Ruediger was nice enough to put together a three part tutorial on how he did a lot of the effects in the commercial. What is even more exciting is that he is allowing me to provide downloads for these videos.

It should open on a Mac. If it doesn’t then download a RAR extractor.

the file hosting service is bouncing me back…
each time the countdown to downoad the file is over, I click on the link and it restarts…
could you please upload the files to a different hosting?

The trick when downloading from the site is watching the countdown go from 30-0 without switching your web page. Watch the countdown the full way through and it should work when it hits zero.

I’ve been able to download part 1 and 3 with no effort, however part 2 made me work some more
Part 2 always presented me a 980seconds timer, I waited for it to go 0, but it restarted,
- I cleared all cookies and changed my IP same thing…
- I waited more than 1 hour before reattempting download again, no difference…
- then I disabled AdBlock and NoScript, and used “Private Browsing” (Ctrl+Shift+P , the new feature of Firefox) and I’ve finally managed to download part 2 with a 30 seconds timer and no relaunch…
it was probably the browser or one of its extensions messing with some code on the file hosting webpage.
I’m leaving this info if someone else has my same problem he can try the same.
Anyway, thanks for sharing this really cool tutorial.

this site you are using to host the rar files is irritating. very annoying, can’t you use something a bit less crap?

AMAZING JOB..when we see some commercial just like that we used to think. DAMN! how they do that? and we began to think INFERNO.>FLAME..SMOKE…but the big secret is the guy behind the mouse…VERY COOL thanks for post..and tks to Barbecue Design for share knowledge.

Thanks Jeff McIntosh, really appreciated the efforts to share this tutorial.
, the server from the filefactory doesn’t really helpful for me, perhaps others are bugged by same problem too.
But, if I could make a little wish, I’d really like to download the part 3 or another great tutorial video from the mediafire.com, just like the part 1 & 2
